We are busy, busy, busy getting ready for Dr. Seuss Day at school!! Last year at my school, each teacher dressed up and we decorated our hallway with Dr. Seuss crafts! It was super cute!!! Here are a few pictures from last year...
My partner teacher and I did our classroom displays on the story If I Ran the Zoo.
I gave my students a stack of construction paper and allowed them to use their creativitiy to come up with their own animal for their zoo. Next, they wrote sentences describing their animal! They LOVED being able to do this activity without ANY limitations!!!
We did a Yertle the Turtle exhibit in our zoo!
We also had an exhibit for Horton Hears a Who!
There was an exhibit for One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.
We made Cat in the Hat windsocks to hang from the ceiling of our classroom.
I dressed up as Sam I Am from Green Eggs and Ham. The entire school looked adorable!!!
This year, each hallway at my school (we only have 4 halls because we are a K-2 school) has their own book. The school looks fantastic!!! I will post pics on Friday of our final project!!!
Happy birthday Dr. Seuss!!!!!
